GIF Workspace — 111 Mulford Hall
The GIF's primary workspace is located in 111 Mulford Hall on the UC Berkeley campus. The space offers 13 workstation computers equipped with a full suite of geospatial software, plus a conference room.
Access: The 111 Mulford lab has restricted keycard access — the door is locked at all times. You must have an active GIF user account and be approved for keycard access to enter. See User Accounts and Keycard Access for details.
Use of the GIF workspace is available at no charge to UC students, faculty, and staff. Fees apply for non-UC-affiliated users. See the GIF Policies for details.
Room calendar: Events and reservations in 111 Mulford are published to the GIF online calendar. Workshops take precedence over individual use — check the calendar before visiting.
Conference Room — 111 Mulford Hall
The 111 Mulford Hall conference room is available on a first-come, first-served reservation basis. It is equipped with a large flat-screen television and is the regular venue for the GeoLunch seminar series.
To reserve the conference room, contact GIF staff.
CNR Teaching Lab — 124 Mulford Hall
The GIF helps maintain the College of Natural Resources (CNR) Teaching Lab in 124 Mulford Hall. The space offers 30 computers with geospatial software installed, plus a mounted projector for instruction.
This is the primary venue for GIF workshops and training. Classes and events taking place in 124 Mulford are listed on the GIF calendar.
