Wildlife Soundhub is a GIF-supported platform for ecologists, land managers, and citizen scientists working with passive acoustic monitoring data. Users can upload audio recordings from field sensors (AudioMoths, SongMeters, etc.), organize them into projects, and run machine-learning classifiers to detect and label species — including birds, bats, amphibians, and insects.
The platform addresses the bottleneck of manually reviewing thousands of hours of field audio by providing shared compute, vetted classifier models, and a collaborative workspace where multiple users can annotate, validate, and export detections for downstream ecological analysis.
